Hello Lovelies and welcome!! Today I am going to share two birthday cards I have made using the Pampered Pets stamp set. This stamp set is part of the fun Playful Pets product suite and is one of my favourites!! Not only is this suite super fun but it is perfect for dog and cat lovers alike! Check out all of the cute elements that make up this must-have suite!!

The Playful Pets birthday cards that I want to share with you today are made simple with these fabulous products!

As you can see, both of these cards are made using the same sketch. These cards would be great to give to the cat or dog lovers in your life! And how about that clever little saying …. I hope your day is a real treat. It just compliments these images beautifully.

Dog birthday card with Pampered Pets

That adorable little terrier … he is cut right from the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper using the Pets Dies…isn’t that super convenient!! Besides the stamps, dies and paper I have also used the trinkets and baker’s twine from this suite to make this card. A great card for any of your dog loving friends!!

On the other hand this card is purr-fect for your feline loving friends!! Similarly I cut the fabulous kitty image right out of the Playful Pets DSP however this time I used my paper snips to fussy cut her out. I adhered a few basic rhinestones for some bling then coloured them black with my Stampin’ Blends.

Not only do I love how these cards turned out but I also love how simple they were to make. Using the Playful pets suite as well as the Stitched Nested Labels dies these cards came together in a snap.

Playful Pets for Scrapbooking too

A few weeks ago I shared a layout I made for the Scrapbooking Global Stampin Up! blog hop using this same suite. These projects demonstrate how versatile these products really are … whether you are card-making or scrapbooking these are must-haves for your crafting collection!1!

Senior Years

Hello and welcome! Today I have a pair of His and Hers retirement cards to share with you using the Senior Years stamp set.

Senior Years Retirement cards

The Senior Years stamp set is filled with funny age-reference sentiments and these two adorable images. Using just this stamp set you can make some fantastic birthday and retirement cards. Just add in some other sayings and the possibilities with these images will be endless!

Senior Years stamp set

His & Hers Senior Years Retirement Cards

Starting with a card I had seen on Pinterest I created this fun masculine retirement card. I used the inked embossing folder technique to get make the brick background. To do this you simply ink the raised side of your embossing folder before running it through your embossing machine. I love how it gives that distress look to the brick and it is super easy to clean … just rinse folder under water and dry!!

With the Stitched Rectangles dies I cut out three rectangles in different sizes and layered them together. Using the stitched banner die included with the Tasteful Labels dies I cut out the retirement sentiment on Just Jade.

I “bumped” up the sweet little banner with dimensionals and then pulled out my Stampin’ Blends to colour! I just love how it turned out πŸ™‚

Next I created this pretty feminine retirement card in much the same manner.

I used a softer colour scheme of Petal Pink, Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Calypso Coral. This is one of my go-to colour combinations at the moment!

To add a little humour and to complete the card I have stamped the inside of both cards.

Thank you so much for popping in today! I will include a full list of the products I used to make both of these cards at the end of my post.

Summer Lovin’ with Seaside Notions

Hello and welcome! Today I want to share a little Summer Lovin’ with Seaside Notions stamp set. This returning stamp set is one of my all time favourites!!

Especially at this time of the year we would all love to be hanging out by the seaside. With the Seaside Notions stamp set, you can create the seaside from your craft room with shells, coral, sand, and seahorses galore!Β  I adore this set with it’s sketch style lines and fabulous sea images.

Mirror Image Stamping Technique

I was able to create the reverse stamp of the seahorse by using the mirror image stamping technique. If you haven’t tried this technique before check out the video I created showing just how simple it is!

Using my much loved Stampin’ Blends I coloured the beautiful seahorses and shells. The colour combo that I have chosen is Seaside Spray, Petal Pink and Crumb Cake,

To add some extra interest I popped in a new Square Vellum Doily in behind the images. I love how this adds a soft, subtle touch to my card. Fussy cutting the stamped shells out was a breeze and they are so pretty!

Can you see that amazing embossed crumb cake layer? I have used the Seabed 3D embossing folder from the Whale Of A Time product suite. It pairs beautifully with the Seaside Notions stamp set.

To finish the card off I brought in a few additional products. I punched the tiny little hearts out using the Dog punch and the sentiment is from the Forever Blossoms stamp set.

I am delighted with the way that this card has turned out, all of the elements came together so well.

Thank you for stopping by today, I am so happy that you did. I hope that you enjoyed this Summer Lovin’ with Seaside Notions post and that my creation has inspired you for a little crafting time of your own.

Whiskey Business

Hello, welcome and HAPPY CANADA DAY! Today I am very excited to share the new Whiskey Business stamp set with you!

From my first glance through the beautiful 2020-2021 Annual catalogue I knew I wanted to get my creative hands on this stamp set. I love that it is something different and masculine.

Using the Whiskey Business stamp set paired with the Tasteful Labels dies I came up with some great masculine cards! The Tasteful Labels dies are another of my top picks from the new Annual Catalogue.

Old-Fashioned Birthday Card

I chose to use So Saffron, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Smoky Slate as the colour combination for my first card. The layout of the card came from one pictured on page 33 of the catalogue.

I stamped the images on Whisper White cardstock using my Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad and coloured them in with Stampin’ Blends. There are no framelits for this set but fussy cutting was a breeze, so I cut out all three! The shading at the bottom of the card front makes it look as though the glasses are sitting on a table, I adhered the decanter with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Using dimensionals I “popped” the glasses up to add an extra layer to the design.

I love this sentiment!! It is great to use along with the Whiskey Business stamp set but also would pair well with any “old-fashioned” images. I can see old trucks, cars or antiques … typewriters, rotary phone… I’m sure you get my point!! So versatile.

I stamped the greeting onto Crumb Cake cardstock and used one of the shapes from the Tasteful Labels dies to cut it out. These dies are definitely on my “must-have” list from this catalogue. I love the subtle lines and stitching along the edges and the shapes are great alone or layered together!

To finish it off I twisted up some linen thread in behind the sentiment for some texture and added some bling of course. I wanted black bling so I coloured some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker. Voila … perfectly matched black bling!!

More Whiskey Business Birthday Cheer

I really had a lot of fun playing with this stamp set. Again I used the Tasteful Labels dies to cut the pieces for the sentiment and the black piece layered behind it. The colour scheme for this card is Cinnamon Cider, Basic Black, and Mango Melody. I also used the World Of Good Specialty DSP and the Old World Paper embossing folder in my design. The bling on this card are the 2020-2022 In-Colour Enamel dots .. I love these little guys.

Again I will point out how versatile these sentiments are … I just love that!

The last card I am going to share with you today uses a colour combination I stumbled on by accident. Don’t you just love happy accidents? Cinnamon Cider and Pool Party just may be a new favourite colour combo for me!!

How about that fun patterned paper? I am really liking this year’s colour family 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers. The patterns are really great and can be used for so much!! I’ve also used the new gold Gilded Gems which add a perfect amount of sparkle and bling!!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are feeling inspired to create a little something of your own. If you overlooked this fabulous stamp set as you thumbed through the catalogue be sure to look again … it really is a great one!!

Happy Canada Day everyone, I hope that you take some time today to do something you love and to celebrate this beautiful country we live in!!

Cheers … eh?

Zany Zebras

Hello and welcome! I am so happy to have had some time to play with my new products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue… especially these Zany Zebras!

Tell me you aren’t smiling about how super cute these little guys are!! With this stamp set you can create fun birthday cards very easily. Today I have three to share with you!

Here are my Zany Zebras creations

Zany Zebra Birthday Card

This card uses all three of the zebra images. Each of them is stamped in a 1.5″ square and matted together to look like a photo booth print. I added the different colours with the use of my Watercolor Pencils and had some fun matching the Zebras to the patterned paper. After all who says a Zebra can’t have different coloured stripes?!?

The Designer Series Paper that I used on all three of these cards is from the Playing With Patterns 6″x6″ pack. The patterns, colours and design of these papers just seem so perfect for birthday cards.

Secondly I made this card showing the zebras wearing the adorable little party hats!! Using a combination of three sentiment stamps I created a great birthday message on the front of the card. These Zebras are ready to party and send some birthday wishes to your loved ones! These little guys are coloured in using my Stampin’ Blends and this time I stayed a little more traditional with the colour.

The last card I created to share with you came together seamlessly. Night of Navy, Purple Posy and Crushed Curry make a great colour combination! I used the Tasteful Labels dies and dimensionals to layer up the Birthday Greeting. Stamped the sole Zany Zebra in Night of Navy and centered the whole thing atop of the playful DSP.

I had a blast designing these cards and can not wait to send them to family and friends!
