Country Club Suite

Hello and happy Monday!! I hope that everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend. Today I want to share with you the soon to be retired Country Club Suite by Stampin’ UP! This incredible suite is perfect for the golfers in your life.

I really enjoy creating cards and projects with the fabulous Country Club product suite. Today I will share three of the cards I’ve made with you!

I used elements from the entire suite to create the card shown above. With my Stampin’ Blend markers I added a little colour to the stamped golfer image by highlighting the lines rather than filling them with colour. I think that it turned out perfectly. With Night Of Navy ink I stamped the happy birthday directly on to the wooden accent banner. I am happy to tell you that the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder that I used here is not retiring!

I love that Stampin’ UP! comes up with fun little embellishments like the wooden Country Club elements. They add a quick and easy dimension to your project and can be a great focal point too. Pairing them up with stamped images or DSP that all co-ordinate makes creating fabulous projects a breeze!!

With Father’s Day just around the corner this set is ideal. It will have you making fantastic Father’s Day cards. The Clubhouse stamp set is perfect for celebrating all the great guys in your life.

It’s A Birthday Bonanza!

Hello and welcome! It’s a birthday bonanza in my world for the month of May. I have so many friends and family members to celebrate this month 🙂

When the January – June 2020 Mini Catalogue was released I immediately fell in love with the Birthday Bonanza Suite. This fantastic grouping of products are perfect for creating any and all things Birthday!! The colours are bright, images and sentiments are fun, there are even little printed cello bags that could be filled with a birthday treat!

My first product based class from this catalogue featured the fabulous Birthday Bonanza Suite and it was a hit!! So without further adieu let me show you these amazing products 🙂

Birthday Bonanza Suite

Do you know one of the great things about this product suite? You can actually use the Bonanza Dies to cut images right from the Designer Series Paper (DSP). This makes for quick and easy projects as it eliminates the need to stamp and colour.

Let’s Create!

In addition to loving these products I also love the samples that are displayed in the catalogue. The creations in the photo below were all C.A.S.E’d (Copy And Share Everything) from page 34. I made a few little tweaks to make them my own but the overall project design came straight from the catalogue!

Here are a couple more cards that I made using these super fun products. Again the card on the bottom may look familiar, take a look at page 5 of the January – June Mini Catalogue.

Looking for Inspiration

Inspirations can come from many different sources. I encourage you to look at the Stampin’ UP! catalogues as an idea book, there are many great samples that can be recreated, tweaked and made to be your own! Sometimes we just need that little jump start to get the creativity flowing 🙂

I thoroughly enjoy using the Birthday Bonanza Suite in my papercrafting. Sadly these items are on the retiring items list, but I am happy to have them in my personal stash!! I know that this is one set that I will use for years to come.

Thank you for popping in today. I hope that you get to enjoy some crafty time yourself very soon.

Over the Moon

Hello and welcome! In today’s post I want to share with you the super adorable Over the Moon stamp set. I saw these fabulous little cows on the Last Chance list, and immediately pulled the stamp set out and got to creating. I sure am going to miss this set!

The cute little cows are udderly irresistable and the sentiments are priceless!! Over the Moon is definitely on my list of favourites from the current Annual catalogue!

Today’s cards both feature the sweet image of the cow holding the flower. This guy is just perfect for Spring with his little rain boots and the daisy too!! For both cards I have used the same layout sketch. To change them out I just switched up the colours, the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and used a different embossing folder on each.

Over the Moon meets Purple Posy

For this first card I chose a card base of Purple Posy to give it a nice soft pastel feel, perfect for Spring.

The second layer (4 x 5.25″) of cardstock is embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. This product is so versatile, I am very pleased to see that it is carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue in June. Every paper crafter should definitely have this embossing folder in their stash!

I added in a bit of Pretty Peacock for big contrast against the Purple Posy. The perfectly coordinating DSP is found in the Best Dressed paper pack. Of course the card needs a little “bling” so I added three 2019-2021 In-colour faceted dots for that finishing touch.

Deep and Rich Blackberry Bliss

My second card has a bit of a different look to it by simply switching up the key components. I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock in place of the Purple Posy from the first card. For the second layer I used the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder rather than the Brick & Mortar. And I chose different patterns from Best Dressed DSP. I still used the Faceted Dots but just switched up the colour.

I really enjoyed using this sketch layout in designing these cards and will certainly be using it again!

Above the Clouds

Hi and welcome! Today let’s talk about the adorable Above The Clouds Bundle. This bundle consists of the Above The Clouds stamp set and the coordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch. Sadly both of these items are being retired and are available until June 2nd OR while supplies last! If either of these items have been on your wish-list now is the time to order!!

I love this bundle! The images and sentiments are so versatile that the possibilities really are endless. From graduation, a job promotion, or a big move to a simple heartfelt “hi friend” this stamp set has you covered. Lift your loved ones up with all kinds of projects featuring the Above The Clouds Bundle.

These are two of the cards that I have designed using this fabulous set. I used the masking technique to get the background in the card on the left. Then I added some heat embossed white clouds and a Happy Birthday greeting from the Seaside Notions stamp set.

In the card on the right I have stamped and punched the hot air balloon image in Rococo Rose and added a little sparkle using the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. This card would make a wonderful wedding card for a happy couple.

See it in Action

Stampin’ UP! has a great video showcasing the Above The Clouds Bundle .. check it out by clicking on the link below, Check out the little tip about how you can stamp your balloon and basket and punch them both out at once. This is a great tip and a time saver too!

Isn’t that a handy tip? It works for many of the builder punches and saves fiddling around with getting all those little pieces lined up in the punch.

Please remember that this set is on the Last Chance product list and is only available until June 2nd or while supplies last. If you would like to order yours today visit my online store and use host code E9CMED2B before you check out!

Thank you for popping in today! I hope that you find a little time in your day to be creative and spread a little sunshine into the world.

A Fun Marble Background Technique

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I want to share with you a simple and fun marble background technique. With just a few basic supplies you can make fabulous backgrounds for your next project!

For this technique you just need the following supplies; marbles, cardstock, ink refills and a container with a lid. That’s it!!

The first card that I created using the Marble technique features the Crafting Forever stamp set. This stamp set is being retired and will not be in the new catalogue being released in June.

For this card I chose a primary colour scheme … Crushed Curry, Pacific Point and Calypso Coral. I love the way the colours all came together!

Next I decided to go with a softer feel using the Daisy Lane stamp set.

This is one of my favourite stamp sets from the current catalogue … I love daisies! There are coordinating punches for both of the daisy images which makes creating with this set super easy!

For this background I chose to use Seaside Spray, Flirty Flamingo and Rococo Rose. Together they made the perfect background for the card I was creating.

This inking technique is so much fun, I could have kept creating all day!!

You’ll be creating beautiful backgrounds in a multiple of colours in no time at all!

Let Me Show You How

I have done up a video tutorial on this fun marble background technique and posted it to my YouTube channel. Click on the link below to check it out! I will post a complete list of the products that I used for both cards below the YouTube link.
