Scrapbooking Global June 2020 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. Today I am pleased to share with you my scrapbook design for the June 2020 Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! blog hop. The theme for June is “Brand New” chosen by the lovely & talented Designer Sharon Dalton of Studio Shabaz.

I am so excited about the theme Sharon has chosen and to be a part of this month’s hop! The last time I was part of this great blog hop was back in May 2019 … way too long ago!

With the release of the “brand new” Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue I had so many options to choose from for my layout.

After giving it some thought I decided to use the Playful Pets Suite. By far one of the cutest suites in this catalogue and with a fur-legged friend in our house these products worked perfectly. I can certainly see myself using these fabulous products over and over as they are just adorable!

Here is my “Brand New” layout design …

Now isn’t this Suite just perfect!! I had so much fun creating this layout to showcase our loyal buddy Duke. He is the best dog a family could ever ask for and he really does make our world a better place.

I have incorporated almost all of the products from the Suite into this single page layout.

Just look at those fun patterns from the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper pack. They are absolutely fantastic for all of us pet lovers … the Designer Series Paper pack is split half dog themed and half cat!! And how about that cute little silver heart trinket? Adorable!

I love that the Designer Series Paper has these perfect little puppy images that can be fussy cut and used as super fun embellishments. The little Terrier can even be cut using the framelit from the Pets Dies. So simple!!

If you have fallen in love with these products as I have be sure to check them out on my online store and order using June’s Host Code 36A6B9ZA.

I hope that you enjoyed my take on the “Brand New” blog hop theme and that you feel inspired to do a little scrapbooking of your own.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out all of the other amazing creations in this month’s blog hop. Up next is the fabulous Janice Thomson.

Scrapbooking Global May Blog Hop – Masculine

Hello and welcome to my blog, I am so happy you have stopped by to visit πŸ™‚

I am excited to be a part of this month’s Scrapbooking Global blog hop and am honoured to be Guest Designer for May!

Masculine Theme

When I was told that as Guest Designer I was able to chose any theme I wanted I quickly decided on Masculine. I am Mom of two boys (well actually young men now) and so scrapbooking masculine layouts is a must. Sometimes these layouts can be a bit challenging as often the supplies close at hand have more of a feminine feel. However, when I sat down to design my layout for the blog hop I picked up my Country Livin’ stamp set and just started to play.

Featured Stamp Set

I am thrilled with the way the finished layout turned out. I have some great photos from a Country Music festival that will be the perfect finishing touch!

Design Elements

The first thing that I did to my Very Vanilla cardstock was to use the brick decorative mask and some embossing paste to make the texture on both sides of the paper. Once it was dry I dusted it with some Soft Suede ink using a Stamping Sponge. Next I randomly stamped the speckled image from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Early Espresso.

All three images from the County Livin’ stamp set were used. Each was stamped using Momento ink and coloured in using the fabulous Stampin’ Blends markers. I fussy cut the truck, guitar and boots and added a little pop by adding dimensionals to the back. I also used the star image from the Country Road stamp set and the saying from the Let it Ride set. All three of these have a fantastic “Country” feel and went so well together on this layout.

I added a swirl of linen thread, some gold metallic pearls and a few True Gentlemen Buttons to add a bit more texture.

The triangles of Designer Series paper all come from the Wood Textures 6″ x 6″ pack. I cut them in half diagonally and distressed the edges with Soft Suede ink and a Stamping Sponge. Then I just layered them all together to add an eye catching array of wood texture to the top and bottom of the page.

One of my favourite things about Stampin’ UP! products is how easy it is to co-ordinate them all together. I used a number of products in designing this layout and will have the full list at the very end of this post.

Thank you

Scrapbooking Global February 2019 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Denise Cox, Creator at Birdsnest Designs. Thank you for popping by to visit my blog and to check out my contribution to this month’s blog hop.

Earlier in the month I was announced as a Guest Designer for the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ UP! group.Β  I am honoured to have been chosen.Β  This month I am thrilled to be part ofΒ  the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop with the theme challenge Love & Marriage chosen by Guest Designer Eimear Carvill!

For this theme challenge I immediately thought of the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ UP! The soft, elegant feel of this paper is perfect for a wedding layout.

I love how the flower images add dimension and that extra touch of pretty to this fabulous Designer Series Paper.

Flowers: Pop of Petals and Falling Flowers bundles

The Mr & Mrs stamp, from the Piece of Cake stamp set, tucked in so nicely amongst the array of flowers and the beautiful pearlized doily. The pretty variegated ribbon adds a lovely touch. I often remind myself that ribbon doesn’t always have to be tied into a bow πŸ˜‰

Because I adore the sentiment and the font is fabulous … I couldn’t resist adding the Love You More sentiment to the bottom corner.

Products used

At the bottom of this post you will find a list of all products used in the design of this layout.

Valentines Crafting

It’s hard to believe that we are nearing the end of January all ready! This weekend I have been busy crafting for a Valentine’s Day market that I am in on Saturday February 2nd at the Castlegar Complex.

I hope that you have all had a chance to check out the 2019 Occasions Catalogue, it is full of amazingly fun stamping products. My go to Valentine set this weekend has been the Meant to Be bundle and the All My Love Designer series Paper.

All My Love Designer Series Paper (148576)

These products are so versatile. They can be used for Valentine’s Day, Wedding, Anniversary or even just an everyday note to let someone know how much they are loved. Products like these are perfect to add to your craft stash because they can be used time and time again.

I love how this card turned out! Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake are a stunning colour combination and are perfect for a sweet Valentine card. Because I had so much fun making this card I also created a scrapbook layout for my February scrapbook club using products from this same suite.

These products are so much fun to create with because the images, colours and patterns are so inspiring. More importantly, like so many of Stampin’ UP!’s products the co-ordination of the Product Suites makes designing so simple. Less time spent on trying to find matching items and more time creating stunning projects πŸ™‚

Let’s Tea Together

Today I want to share with you one of my favourite items from the 2019 Occasions catalogue. This beautiful, elegant stamp set was a must have for me the minute I saw it. Tea Time reminds me both of spending time now with my friends chatting over a cup of tea (or coffee as the case may be) and also of those early childhood days of hosting tea parties. I simply adore this stamp set …

Tea Together cling stamp set (#148779)

As soon as it was delivered to my doorstep I couldn’t wait to start creating! First I started with a Mother’s Day card, the greetings in this set are perfect for that!

So pretty! The subtle colour combination of Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron pair perfectly with the elegance of the tea pot and the roses. To get the beautiful embossed background I used the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that can be found on Page 11 of the Occasions Catalogue (OC). Notice how perfectly the images are cut out? That’s because I used the Tea Time Framelits Dies that I got for FREE for spending $120 during the Sale-a-Bration promotion!

Tea Time Framelits Dies (#149697)

With these you can cut out perfect images in just seconds! They even thought to give us duplicate dies for some of the commonly repeated images like the leaves and the rose buds. πŸ™‚

Next I decided to use one of the sentiments from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set to create a lovely thank you card.

I paired the images on this card with products from the Tea Room suite found on Page 15 of the Annual Catalogue (AC). These products are a match made in heaven. Together they make creating and coordinating super simple.

I also decided that these images would make a fun scrapbook layout.

Scrapboook Club layout for January 2019

I love the way that this double layout turned out, I can’t wait to add some photos. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I used is the Botanical Butterfly DSP that you can get for FREE with a $60 order during the Sale-a-Bration promotion. The smaller butterflies are punched directly out of this paper using the new Butterfly Duet punch that can be found in the OC on Page 35. The larger butterfly was fussy cut from a separate page in this same paper pack.

So what do you think … have you fallen in love with these products too? If you have then you should also take a look at the Project Bundle on page 17 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Tea Together Cards Bundle (#151046)

This bundle contains all of the products that you will need to make the featured projects in the photo above. When you purchase the bundle you qualify to get the Tea Time Framelits Dies for FREE during the Sale-a-Bration promotion.

I hope that you agree that the Tea Together stamp set is TEA-riffic!! Thanks for stopping by πŸ™‚
