Whiskey Business

Hello, welcome and HAPPY CANADA DAY! Today I am very excited to share the new Whiskey Business stamp set with you!

From my first glance through the beautiful 2020-2021 Annual catalogue I knew I wanted to get my creative hands on this stamp set. I love that it is something different and masculine.

Using the Whiskey Business stamp set paired with the Tasteful Labels dies I came up with some great masculine cards! The Tasteful Labels dies are another of my top picks from the new Annual Catalogue.

Old-Fashioned Birthday Card

I chose to use So Saffron, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Smoky Slate as the colour combination for my first card. The layout of the card came from one pictured on page 33 of the catalogue.

I stamped the images on Whisper White cardstock using my Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad and coloured them in with Stampin’ Blends. There are no framelits for this set but fussy cutting was a breeze, so I cut out all three! The shading at the bottom of the card front makes it look as though the glasses are sitting on a table, I adhered the decanter with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Using dimensionals I “popped” the glasses up to add an extra layer to the design.

I love this sentiment!! It is great to use along with the Whiskey Business stamp set but also would pair well with any “old-fashioned” images. I can see old trucks, cars or antiques … typewriters, rotary phone… I’m sure you get my point!! So versatile.

I stamped the greeting onto Crumb Cake cardstock and used one of the shapes from the Tasteful Labels dies to cut it out. These dies are definitely on my “must-have” list from this catalogue. I love the subtle lines and stitching along the edges and the shapes are great alone or layered together!

To finish it off I twisted up some linen thread in behind the sentiment for some texture and added some bling of course. I wanted black bling so I coloured some Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker. Voila … perfectly matched black bling!!

More Whiskey Business Birthday Cheer

I really had a lot of fun playing with this stamp set. Again I used the Tasteful Labels dies to cut the pieces for the sentiment and the black piece layered behind it. The colour scheme for this card is Cinnamon Cider, Basic Black, and Mango Melody. I also used the World Of Good Specialty DSP and the Old World Paper embossing folder in my design. The bling on this card are the 2020-2022 In-Colour Enamel dots .. I love these little guys.

Again I will point out how versatile these sentiments are … I just love that!

The last card I am going to share with you today uses a colour combination I stumbled on by accident. Don’t you just love happy accidents? Cinnamon Cider and Pool Party just may be a new favourite colour combo for me!!

How about that fun patterned paper? I am really liking this year’s colour family 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers. The patterns are really great and can be used for so much!! I’ve also used the new gold Gilded Gems which add a perfect amount of sparkle and bling!!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are feeling inspired to create a little something of your own. If you overlooked this fabulous stamp set as you thumbed through the catalogue be sure to look again … it really is a great one!!

Happy Canada Day everyone, I hope that you take some time today to do something you love and to celebrate this beautiful country we live in!!

Cheers … eh?

Tasteful Touches

Hello and welcome! Today I want to introduce you to the fabulous Tasteful Touches bundle from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. Just two more sleeps until this beautiful catalogue goes Live!!

This bundle is so versatile! Today I created three cards all with a completely different look and feel. This first card features my favourite stamp in this set ,,, the beautiful feather!

I stamped the feathers in five different colours; Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay.

Using a strip of vellum cardstock I stamped the sentiment with Jet Black Staz On ink. Then I layered it on top of the feathers and love how the beautiful stamped images still show through. For a finishing touch I added the pretty wooden sprigs which come with the In Good Taste Elements and a couple of rhinestones for bling!

Touches of Misty Moonlight

My second card has more of an elegant, monochromatic theme to it.

I am really enjoying the addition of the five new 2020-2022 In-Colours to my crafting colour palette. This card features one of these new In-Colours , Misty Moonlight. I love this new blue!!

Using the Stitched Lace dies I cut out that pretty lacy background and layered it over Misty Moonlight cardstock.

I stamped the pretty floral image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and added colour using a sponge dauber and some Misty Moonlight ink. With my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write marker I coloured the yellow centers of the flowers in .

I love how Stampin’ UP! provides us with so many coordinating elements to choose from. Just look at how perfectly the cardstock, ink, ribbon and enamel dots match making coordination so simple… Love it!!

In Good Taste Product Suite

Here is the third card that I created today using the In Good Taste product suite. This suite consists of the Tasteful Touches bundle, In Good Taste DSP, Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and the In Good Taste Elements.

Wow, I had so much fun layering these stamp images in a collage kind of format. The versatility of these images is endless. They would make amazing backgrounds for all sorts of cards and scrapbook layouts. My colour scheme for this card is Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso. The textured looking DSP that the images are stamped on is part of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper . This paper pack is one you will see me using time and time again.

The pretty floral images in this stamp set are so much fun to colour and isn’t that mason jar super adorable? Can you spot the brand new in-colours too?

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, Sunflowers are one of my favourite flowers so of course I started with them!! This card starts with a Just Jade card base, a layer of Gray Granite cardstock and Whisper White for stamping. That beautiful Just Jade gingham ribbon is from the Flowers For Every Season ribbon combo pack which will also be available June 3rd.

The ‘Just Because’ sentiment is from another great new product that you can look forward to seeing in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. This stamps set is called Lovely You and features many great sentiments in a fun, fresh font.

Mason Jar Shaker Cards

These next 2 cards both feature the Mason Jar Shaker Domes which perfectly coordinate with the Jar punch. Shaker cards are so much fun to make and these little shaker domes make them easy too!!

Love them!!!

The card on the right showcases three of the new In-Colours … Magenta Madness card base, Just Jade cardstock behind a layer of Misty Moonlight Designer Series Paper. I have used a few Flowers for Every Season gems inside the shaker dome and enamel dots atop the sentiment flag.

Shaker card on the left starts with a Misty Moonlight card base, a layer of BumbleBee cardstock and 1/4″ Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon. Inside this shaker dome I enclosed a pinch of multi coloured sequins. It’s A Birthday Bonanza!

Hello and welcome! It’s a birthday bonanza in my world for the month of May. I have so many friends and family members to celebrate this month 🙂

When the January – June 2020 Mini Catalogue was released I immediately fell in love with the Birthday Bonanza Suite. This fantastic grouping of products are perfect for creating any and all things Birthday!! The colours are bright, images and sentiments are fun, there are even little printed cello bags that could be filled with a birthday treat!

My first product based class from this catalogue featured the fabulous Birthday Bonanza Suite and it was a hit!! So without further adieu let me show you these amazing products 🙂

Birthday Bonanza Suite

Do you know one of the great things about this product suite? You can actually use the Bonanza Dies to cut images right from the Designer Series Paper (DSP). This makes for quick and easy projects as it eliminates the need to stamp and colour.

Let’s Create!

In addition to loving these products I also love the samples that are displayed in the catalogue. The creations in the photo below were all C.A.S.E’d (Copy And Share Everything) from page 34. I made a few little tweaks to make them my own but the overall project design came straight from the catalogue!

Here are a couple more cards that I made using these super fun products. Again the card on the bottom may look familiar, take a look at page 5 of the January – June Mini Catalogue.

Looking for Inspiration

Inspirations can come from many different sources. I encourage you to look at the Stampin’ UP! catalogues as an idea book, there are many great samples that can be recreated, tweaked and made to be your own! Sometimes we just need that little jump start to get the creativity flowing 🙂

I thoroughly enjoy using the Birthday Bonanza Suite in my papercrafting. Sadly these items are on the retiring items list, but I am happy to have them in my personal stash!! I know that this is one set that I will use for years to come.

Thank you for popping in today. I hope that you get to enjoy some crafty time yourself very soon.

Over the Moon

Hello and welcome! In today’s post I want to share with you the super adorable Over the Moon stamp set. I saw these fabulous little cows on the Last Chance list, and immediately pulled the stamp set out and got to creating. I sure am going to miss this set!

The cute little cows are udderly irresistable and the sentiments are priceless!! Over the Moon is definitely on my list of favourites from the current Annual catalogue!

Today’s cards both feature the sweet image of the cow holding the flower. This guy is just perfect for Spring with his little rain boots and the daisy too!! For both cards I have used the same layout sketch. To change them out I just switched up the colours, the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and used a different embossing folder on each.

Over the Moon meets Purple Posy

For this first card I chose a card base of Purple Posy to give it a nice soft pastel feel, perfect for Spring.

The second layer (4 x 5.25″) of cardstock is embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. This product is so versatile, I am very pleased to see that it is carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue in June. Every paper crafter should definitely have this embossing folder in their stash!

I added in a bit of Pretty Peacock for big contrast against the Purple Posy. The perfectly coordinating DSP is found in the Best Dressed paper pack. Of course the card needs a little “bling” so I added three 2019-2021 In-colour faceted dots for that finishing touch.

Deep and Rich Blackberry Bliss

My second card has a bit of a different look to it by simply switching up the key components. I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock in place of the Purple Posy from the first card. For the second layer I used the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder rather than the Brick & Mortar. And I chose different patterns from Best Dressed DSP. I still used the Faceted Dots but just switched up the colour.

I really enjoyed using this sketch layout in designing these cards and will certainly be using it again!
