Let’s Welcome April

Hello and welcome to my creative blog. I am so happy that you are here!

Stampin’ UP! has some awesome new products for the month of April. I am very excited to share all of them with you.

Paper Pumpkin

April 2020 Paper Pumpkin

For April, Paper Pumpkin has created a fun, family appreciation themed card kit that will make it easy for customers to share their hearts with those they love most: mom, dad, daughter, son, sister, and brother. April’s kit even includes Mother’s Day and Father’s Day sentiments, providing the perfect way to show appreciation for beloved parents on their special days with a beautiful, handmade card.

One more thing about this “fam-tastic” kit: The Paper Pumpkin team knows that everyone’s clan is unique. With that in mind, they’ve provided sentiments that would include anyone in your life who feels like family; for instance, “brothers” and “sisters” who have helped you along the journey of life.

Take a look at this video to get even more of an insight into the April kit.

Sadly we will not be able to get together to unveil and create this month’s kit in person. However, I would love to do an online party or live post … an unveiling of the Paper Pumpkin kit if you will. I am taking some of my extra at-home time to learn more about this so stay tuned!!

If you would like to receive this month’s Fam-tastic kit please click here to subscribe or contact me to add one to my order for you. Deadline to get your order in is April 10th.

Happy Stampin’

Hello my Stampin’ peeps … Like most of you I am staying at home right now and find I have so much more time on my hands. Although the outside world’s health situation is scary I am focusing on trying to stay positive and am spending a lot of time in my happy place …. my Craft Room!

Today I want to share with you some of my latest card creations. With the signs of spring upon us and Easter just around the corner I can not seem to get enough of the adorable Welcome Easter stamp set. These little critters are so cute and are sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Welcome Easter and new little ones with the Welcome Easter Cling Stamp Set. A baby chick, a bunny, and a lamb would look sweet on any spring-themed project. Greetings include sentiments for Easter projects and cards for new babies. Line art images are great for basic stamping techniques; color and customize them using any of our coloring tools.
Welcome Easter stamp set (151559) $27.00

I started by recreating this fabulous card by Chic n’ Scratch that I found online. It was so adorable that I then had to make another using Petal Pink … I love the way they both turned out!

Product List

Sticking with the Easter theme I decided I would create another card … I couldn’t decide which adorable little guy I should use so I decided on all three!!! I pulled out some of my lighter Stampin’ Blends colours and had a lot of fun bringing these images to life.

Are they not just the cutest?!

Like I said I could not stop playing with this stamp set … up next some adorable baby cards!!! I love the sentiment that is included with this set and the font is perfect to go along with the fun little animals.

Product List

My creative afternoon did not end there. While I was on the Chic n’ Scratch website I came across another fun fold card that I wanted to try. I switched it up a little and made another sweet baby card, This time I also brought in the So Sentimental bundle to add a different sentiment in the bottom corner.

Product List

As you can see this stamp set has endless possibilities and I have only just begun!!

I hope that as we all face these uncertain times you find a little time to do something that makes you happy … crafting is good for the soul!!

Stay safe everyone and Happy Stamping!!

Sprinkles of Colour

Hello and welcome to my blog… Thank you for popping by!

Today I want to introduce you to the super fun Pigment Sprinkles, they are absolutely fabulous!

Image of Pigment Sprinkles product

What are Pigment Sprinkles?

Pigment Sprinkles are watercolour pigment crystals in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colours. Mix them with water to make watercolour backgrounds and washes, and use them for other watercolouring techniques. The possibilities are endless.

These crystals come in 6 beautiful Stampin’ UP! colours: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo.

Let’s Create …

The other night I sat down to give these amazing products a try and I was so thrilled with the results.

I thought that the Monster images from the Boo To You stamp set went perfectly with the colourful backgrounds that I created. To create the backgrounds was really easy … I simply sprinkled a little of the pigment crystals in a variety of colours and spritzed with water. Voila!!

In this card I spritzed just a small amount of water. You’ll notice that there are still some white spots showing through and the crystals aren’t all completely blended.

I sprayed just a little more water when I created this background. You can see that the crystals are more blended and there is very little white paper showing through. Same technique just more water.

Lastly, when I made this background I added quite a bit of water and as you can see the colour crystals all blended together and give a more saturated colourful background.

I love that there are lots of options and that no 2 backgrounds will ever be identical. Not only do I love the way they turned out, but it was so much fun to watch all the sprinkles come to life in these beautiful bursts of colour!!

Give them a try

If you would like to give these Pigment Sprinkles a try you can order a set of your own from my online store. Use September’s host code MZ2QX6CZ and you will be entered to win a little something from the Holiday catalogue.

A Sweet Harvest Hello

Hello Stampin’ friends and thank you for stopping by my blog! Today I want to share with you the adorable Harvest Hellos bundle from the Holiday catalogue. This sweet set is a must have for the fall season.

When I first saw this set in my preview of the catalogue I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

Harvest Apples

Aren’t those apples just darling? In this case I added some of the fabulous designer series paper from the Come to Gather collection. It has such a fun fall feel that I couldn’t resist … and when I think fall I think of back to school. The sentiments included with this set are perfect for all of the special teachers in our lives!

Trick – or – Treat

The jack-0-lantern option in this set makes it ideal for Halloween too! I made these adorable little treat holders … they’ll be perfect for our neighbourhood trick-or-treaters.

I can’t get enough of how cute this little guy is …

I like to send my nieces and nephews Halloween cards in the mail each year. Again this set made it so simple to create.

For this card I used a piece of designer series paper from the Monster Bash collection to add a little spooky to the background. (In a later post I will share just how spook-tacular the Monster Bash suite is)!

Notice how a little simple highlighting with the Stampin’ Blends really brings these pumpkins to life.

I hope that you have enjoyed today’s post and that the projects have brought some crafty inspiration into your day.

Here is a list of all of the products used for all three projects. Clicking on any of the images in the list will bring you to my online store. Remember if you are placing an order and use September’s host code MZ2QX6CZ you will be entered to win a prize from the Holiday catalogue!
