Scrapbooking Global June 2020 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome. Today I am pleased to share with you my scrapbook design for the June 2020 Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! blog hop. The theme for June is “Brand New” chosen by the lovely & talented Designer Sharon Dalton of Studio Shabaz.

I am so excited about the theme Sharon has chosen and to be a part of this month’s hop! The last time I was part of this great blog hop was back in May 2019 … way too long ago!

With the release of the “brand new” Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue I had so many options to choose from for my layout.

After giving it some thought I decided to use the Playful Pets Suite. By far one of the cutest suites in this catalogue and with a fur-legged friend in our house these products worked perfectly. I can certainly see myself using these fabulous products over and over as they are just adorable!

Here is my “Brand New” layout design …

Now isn’t this Suite just perfect!! I had so much fun creating this layout to showcase our loyal buddy Duke. He is the best dog a family could ever ask for and he really does make our world a better place.

I have incorporated almost all of the products from the Suite into this single page layout.

Just look at those fun patterns from the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper pack. They are absolutely fantastic for all of us pet lovers … the Designer Series Paper pack is split half dog themed and half cat!! And how about that cute little silver heart trinket? Adorable!

I love that the Designer Series Paper has these perfect little puppy images that can be fussy cut and used as super fun embellishments. The little Terrier can even be cut using the framelit from the Pets Dies. So simple!!

If you have fallen in love with these products as I have be sure to check them out on my online store and order using June’s Host Code 36A6B9ZA.

I hope that you enjoyed my take on the “Brand New” blog hop theme and that you feel inspired to do a little scrapbooking of your own.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check out all of the other amazing creations in this month’s blog hop. Up next is the fabulous Janice Thomson.

Scrapbooking Global May Blog Hop – Masculine

Hello and welcome to my blog, I am so happy you have stopped by to visit ๐Ÿ™‚

I am excited to be a part of this month’s Scrapbooking Global blog hop and am honoured to be Guest Designer for May!

Masculine Theme

When I was told that as Guest Designer I was able to chose any theme I wanted I quickly decided on Masculine. I am Mom of two boys (well actually young men now) and so scrapbooking masculine layouts is a must. Sometimes these layouts can be a bit challenging as often the supplies close at hand have more of a feminine feel. However, when I sat down to design my layout for the blog hop I picked up my Country Livin’ stamp set and just started to play.

Featured Stamp Set

I am thrilled with the way the finished layout turned out. I have some great photos from a Country Music festival that will be the perfect finishing touch!

Design Elements

The first thing that I did to my Very Vanilla cardstock was to use the brick decorative mask and some embossing paste to make the texture on both sides of the paper. Once it was dry I dusted it with some Soft Suede ink using a Stamping Sponge. Next I randomly stamped the speckled image from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Early Espresso.

All three images from the County Livin’ stamp set were used. Each was stamped using Momento ink and coloured in using the fabulous Stampin’ Blends markers. I fussy cut the truck, guitar and boots and added a little pop by adding dimensionals to the back. I also used the star image from the Country Road stamp set and the saying from the Let it Ride set. All three of these have a fantastic “Country” feel and went so well together on this layout.

I added a swirl of linen thread, some gold metallic pearls and a few True Gentlemen Buttons to add a bit more texture.

The triangles of Designer Series paper all come from the Wood Textures 6″ x 6″ pack. I cut them in half diagonally and distressed the edges with Soft Suede ink and a Stamping Sponge. Then I just layered them all together to add an eye catching array of wood texture to the top and bottom of the page.

One of my favourite things about Stampin’ UP! products is how easy it is to co-ordinate them all together. I used a number of products in designing this layout and will have the full list at the very end of this post.

Thank you

Scrapbooking Global February 2019 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am Denise Cox, Creator at Birdsnest Designs. Thank you for popping by to visit my blog and to check out my contribution to this month’s blog hop.

Earlier in the month I was announced as a Guest Designer for the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ UP! group.ย  I am honoured to have been chosen.ย  This month I am thrilled to be part ofย  the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop with the theme challenge Love & Marriage chosen by Guest Designer Eimear Carvill!

For this theme challenge I immediately thought of the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ UP! The soft, elegant feel of this paper is perfect for a wedding layout.

I love how the flower images add dimension and that extra touch of pretty to this fabulous Designer Series Paper.

Flowers: Pop of Petals and Falling Flowers bundles

The Mr & Mrs stamp, from the Piece of Cake stamp set, tucked in so nicely amongst the array of flowers and the beautiful pearlized doily. The pretty variegated ribbon adds a lovely touch. I often remind myself that ribbon doesn’t always have to be tied into a bow ๐Ÿ˜‰

Because I adore the sentiment and the font is fabulous … I couldn’t resist adding the Love You More sentiment to the bottom corner.
