Delicate Dahlias: Beginner Stamper
Let’s kick this post off with a simple beginner style card. Using just stamps, ink and paper … affectionately referred to as a SIP card… we can create beautiful cards.

The Delicate Dahlias stamp set is a Dist-ink-tive stamp set which means that we get that beautiful shaded, life-like look from a single stamp. It is also a Two-Step stamp set …
- Stamp the outline image
- Stamp the inside (fill in) image
With these two features this stamp set makes it super easy to create beautiful stamped images.

So … let me walk you through how easy this beautiful basic card is to make in just 5 easy steps..

- Of course the first thing we need to start with is the card base. I have used Fresh Freesia cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored in half on the long side at 4.25″
- Next I attached a layer of Garden Green cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ to the card base
- On a piece of Basic White measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″ I stamped the large Dahlia outline image in Highland Heather ink and then filled it in with the solid image using Fresh Freesia.
- Next I stamped the leaves on either side of the Dahlia … the outline in Garden Green and the fill in with Granny Apple Green, then attached this piece to the card front.
- Lastly I stamped the greeting in Fresh Freesia on to a 5/8″ x 3″ strip of Basic White cardstock and bumped it up with Stampin Dimensionals on to the card.
Darling Dahlias: Casual Stamper
With just a couple minor tweaks and additions we can step this same card up a little. It’s amazing the difference that a few little changes can make … still a beautiful card just a little stepped-up!

So as you can see, the basic layout is the same. Rather than stamping the Dahlia on to the Basic White cardstock layer I stamped it on another piece, fussy cut it out and bumped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added a piece of 3/8″ Open Weave Fresh Freesia ribbon behind the sentiment and finished it off by adding three Pastel Pearls.
Darling Dahlias: Avid Stamper
This next card is one for those stampers who like to have all the bells and whistles. Lots of layers and embellishments!

To create this all-stepped-up card I added in a piece of Fresh Freesia Designer Series Paper from the 2021-2023 In-Colour assortment and backed it with a piece of Basic White cardstock. The stamped portion is the same as the previous card just on a smaller size piece of paper. I have kept the ribbon and pearls with just slightly different placement. The Garden Green cardstock behind the stamped images is bumped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some extra fun layers too!
I hope that you have enjoyed today’s projects! It’s fun to see how one card can be transformed by changing and adding just a few things.
After making these cards I have fallen in love with the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. Remember that this exclusive Sale-a-Bration stamp set can be yours for FREE with a $120 CDN order until September 30th.
