Easy Christmas Fun Fold Cards | One Design, Two Different Looks!

Do you have beautiful Designer Series Paper tucked away in your craft room, just waiting for the perfect project? I certainly do! And this easy Christmas fun fold card is a wonderful way to show off those pretty papers instead of covering them all up.

The best part? I created two completely different Christmas cards using the exact same basic supplies, simply by switching up the stamps and a few design details.

It’s a fun reminder that you don’t always need something new to create something you love!

One Fun Fold, Two Christmas Cards

For my first card, I used the adorable Christmas Mice bundle with its sweet little mouse, Santa hat, and gift. Even though real mice absolutely terrify me, I have to admit these little stamped ones are pretty darn cute!

For the second card, I dug into my stash and pulled out the retired Christmas Friends bundle. With a little help from my live viewers, we chose the skating moose and added a sweet little mouse alongside him.

Same cardstock. Same Designer Series Paper. Same fun fold. Two different looks!

Christmas Fun Fold Card Measurements

This fun fold is surprisingly easy to make, and I love how the front opens to reveal even more of that gorgeous patterned paper.

Here are the measurements you’ll need to create your own.

Cardstock & Designer Series Paper

  • Card base: 7-3/4″ × 5-1/2″, scored at 1″ and 5-1/4″
  • DSP for the front flaps: 2-1/4″ × 5-1/4″ and 3/4″ × 5-1/4″
  • DSP for the inside decorative panel: 4″ × 5-1/4″
  • Basic White for the inside: 4″ × 5-1/4″
  • Additional cardstock and scraps: For your stamped images, sentiment, and decorative layers

Fold both scored sections inward, keeping the wider flap on the left. Add your Designer Series Paper to the front flaps, then attach the larger patterned panel inside the card.
From there, the decorating is completely up to you!

In the video, I’ll walk you through the fold, share some helpful card-making tips, and show you how a few simple changes can give the same card design a completely different personality.

You’ll also get to see some fun decisions we made together while creating, including which little Christmas critters made the final cut!

A Little Inspiration From My Craft Room to Yours

One of my favourite things about paper crafting is rediscovering something I haven’t used in a while.

That stamp set you loved enough to buy? It’s still full of possibilities!

So before you head out looking for something new, take a little peek through your stash. Choose some pretty paper, pull out a favourite stamp set, and see what you can create.

And I’d love to know: Which Christmas card is your favourite, the sweet little Christmas Mice or the skating moose and his friend? Tell me in the comments!

Happy creating!
