Good morning, friends! 🩷
It’s a chilly morning here in Saskatchewan — the kind of crisp morning where the frost sparkles on the trees and a warm cup of coffee feels extra cozy. While sipping mine, I felt inspired to pop on live and create something peaceful and meaningful to start the day.
Today’s project is a simple yet elegant Christmas card featuring the A Child Is Born stamp set from Stampin’ Up! This one just spoke to my heart. I’ve been feeling so grateful lately, and this beautiful nativity image felt like the perfect way to share that calm, thankful energy with you all.

This design captures the true essence of Christmas — quiet, bright, and full of love. I kept it classic with black and white and added touches of gold for that soft shimmer. The sentiment “All is calm, all is bright” ties it all together beautifully.
If you love colouring, this image would look gorgeous with blends or watercolour, but I adore how striking it looks left uncoloured with simple lines and a heartfelt message.
✂️ Measurements & Supplies
- Card Base: 4¼” x 11″ (scored at 5½”)
- Designer Paper (Modern Christmas DSP): 1″ x 4¼” — top and bottom strips
- Label Panel: cut using the Branching Out Dies (or any shape you love!)
- Sentiment Strip: ¾” x 3″
- Ink: Memento Black
- Embellishment: Low-Profile Gold Dots or coloured rhinestones
- Baker’s Twine: Black & Gold
Inside the card, I added another strip of the Modern Christmas paper and stamped the sweet little lamb with the “O Holy Night” sentiment. Don’t forget the envelope too — no naked envelopes here! ✨
💕 Crafting Tip
If you don’t have this exact stamp set, that’s okay! Remember — craft with what you have; you already love it. This clean layout works beautifully with so many other images.
And most importantly, enjoy the process. Cardmaking isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection, gratitude, and joy.
