I’m so happy you’re here with me today. Today’s card is one of those designs that makes you do a double take… it looks fancy, a little bit complicated… and then you realize it’s actually so quick and easy to put together.
I’ll be honest—I was a little intimidated when I first saw this fold too. But once I sat down and broke it down step by step, it just clicked. And now I can’t wait to make more of them!
We created this double pillar floating fun fold card using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper—and oh my goodness, you guys… it’s just so pretty and perfect for birthday cards.

A Few Helpful Tips
- This card is all about scoring and folding—nothing tricky, I promise.
- If you’ve made a Z-fold before, this will feel familiar.
- When adding elements to the front, make sure you don’t glue across the fold so your card can still open properly.
- And for those little inside mechanisms—don’t overthink them. Once you place the first one, the rest just fall into place.

Why I Love This Card 🩷
I just love how this card goes from simple… to WOW the moment you open it.
It folds flat, fits in a regular envelope, and then surprises the person receiving it with those fun floating panels inside. Honestly, I would be so thrilled to get this in the mail—wouldn’t you?
And the best part?
You can make this with anything you already have in your stash.
Different paper, different stamps, different colours—it’s all going to work beautifully. Use what you love. That’s what makes it yours.
