Switching It Up with Notes of Spring & Silly Safari • Birdsnest Designs

Sometimes the easiest way to spark creativity is to simply switch things up.

That’s exactly what I did in last night’s live.

I created two completely different cards using the exact same consumable supplies… and just changed the stamp set, switching from Notes of Spring to Silly Safari.

Same papers. Same layout. Same pieces.
Just a simple switch.

Card #1 – Notes of Spring

For the first card, I used the Notes of Spring stamp set.

This one has such a soft, gentle feel to it, and I kept everything light and simple so the stamped image could really shine.

And just a little note… this Notes of Spring set happens to be the Stampin’ Up! Product of the Month for March 🩷

Card #2 – Silly Safari

For the second card, I swapped in the Silly Safari stamp set… and everything changed.

Same layout. Same supplies.

But with that one simple switch, everything feels a little more playful and whimsical.

I also mirrored the layout for this one, moving the label to the opposite side.
Such a small change, but it helps the design work better with the image and gives it its own personality.

No extra supplies needed… just using what we already had in a different way.

Darling Duckling card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Basic White:
- 3 3/4 x 5 for inside

- Label from Label Me Grateful dies
- Scrap piece for stamping
Mossy Meadow for die cutting the branches from the Label Me Grateful dies

- Strip needed for sentiment
