Hello and welcome! Today I have a pair of His & Hers retirement cards to share with you featuring the Senior Years stamp set.
The Senior Years stamp set is filled with funny age-reference sentiments and these two adorable images. Using just this stamp set you can make some fantastic birthday and retirement cards. Just add in some other sayings and the possibilities with these images will be endless!
His & Hers Senior Years Retirement Cards
Starting with a card I had seen on Pinterest I created this fun masculine retirement card. I used the inked embossing folder technique to get make the brick background. To do this you simply ink the raised side of your embossing folder before running it through your embossing machine. I love how it gives that distress look to the brick and it is super easy to clean … just rinse folder under water and dry!!
With the Stitched Rectangles dies I cut out three rectangles in different sizes and layered them together. Using the stitched banner die included with the Tasteful Labels dies I cut out the retirement sentiment on Just Jade.
I “bumped” up the sweet little banner with dimensionals and then pulled out my Stampin’ Blends to colour! I just love how it turned out 🙂
Next I created this pretty feminine retirement card in much the same manner.
I used a softer colour scheme of Petal Pink, Seaside Spray, Misty Moonlight and Calypso Coral. This is one of my go-to colour combinations at the moment!
To add a little humour and to complete the card I have stamped the inside of both cards.
