Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch!! I am so excited to introduce you all to my very talented sister Christine! Christine is a HUGE baseball fan. When I saw the Batter Up Paper Pumpkin kit for May I knew she would be able to create some great alternate projects to share with you! And what she has done with this kit is absolutely amazing. So without further adieu I now turn this post over to Christine, my guest blogger and member of my Pumpkin Patch design team.
Batter Up – Perfect for Baseball Fans Everywhere
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a Paper Pumpkin kit land on my desk, and I have to say that I was really impressed and actually excited about this Batter Up one! I received it as a gift from Denise with the request to do some alternative projects with it. Hmmm….

My first creative idea was a scrapbook layout, these die cuts and embellishments worked perfectly on a 3×3 grid layout. I used the card fronts as a couple of the squares and embellished them very similar to what was suggested in the kit.

Second, I did my own take on the original cards, stepped them up a bit, added a lot of dimensionals and a few extra pieces of cardstock, and voila. I think these will be pretty fun cards to pop in the mail.

“Mom” was one of the stamped images included in this exclusive stamp set, but I wasn’t keen on keeping with the red and blue theme, after all Mom’s need something a little more unique, and special don’t you think! I also loved the blue on the envelope liners so I had to incorporate it somewhere. Added a pink die cut image and some rhinestone bling and here you have it.
Stampin’ Up! “Knocked it Outta the park” with the baseball theme, it even came with Dubble Bubble! How Fun! But I needed to find a place (besides my kids mouths) to showcase it, so I created this little box reminiscent of a popcorn box and filled it with a few treats including the gum.

Then while I was on the theme of “treats” and gift giving I put together this baseball themed gift tin with all the typical baseball park goodies. I think it would be a perfect thank you gift for a Coach, as a gift for a baseball fan, or an extra something for Dad as he watches the game on Father’s day. It was so simple to create this little tag using the extra pieces from the Batter Up kit. I simply attached it to a skewer and placed it amongst the goodies. Notice the blue tissue paper? Yep, nothing was wasted in this kit!
So I think after just one kit, I can say “Put me in Coach” I can’t wait to see what’s in next months kit.
