Mirror Image Stamping

7 Apr

Hello and thank you for stopping by today to check out my blog!!

Today I want to share with you a card I designed using a Mirror Image stamping technique. Have you ever had a stamp image that you wished was facing the opposite direction? Well after you learn this technique that will never be an issue again.

The card I want to share features the Free As A Bird stamp set by Stampin’ UP!

The image that I am going to use for this technique is the cute little bird in the bottom left hand corner. He works perfectly for this and combined the two birds make a perfectly lovely wedding card!!

Aren’t they sweet … Love Birds!!

All you need for this technique is a silicone craft sheet. Stamp the image on to the silicone craft sheet. Flip it over and press stamped image on to the paper directly where you want it.

Let Me Show You

I have created a video tutorial to demonstrate the mirror image technique for you. This is my very first video I have made so please by kind … I have not yet learned the art of video editing… LOL!

Well what do you think … easy peasy? I love this stamping technique!!

I created another card using this technique and the adorable rain boots stamp that was in the March Paper Pumpkin kit. These boots are so stinkin’ cute!

The possibilities are endless!!

Thank you again for popping in, I am so glad that you did. Take care, stay safe & healthy and Happy Crafting!!

~ Dee

    Hey Denise,
Great job demonstrating the making of this card.
I think it’s very cute and glad to have another reminder of how to do mirror imaging.
Thanks and have a great day,
    Kristen

I haven’t tried mirror stamping now I will have to give it a try. I thought you did a great job on the video. I really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to see more. Thanks.

Meet Denise

Hi there! I’m Denise Cox—welcome to my crafty corner of the internet! I live in Saskatchewan, Canada with my husband Brandon, and a house full of furry love—our two dogs, Linus and Lucy, and our cats, Cleo and Chloe. I’ve been passionate about paper crafting for as long as I can remember and was introduced to Stampin’ Up! back in 2009. After falling in love with the products, I joined as a demonstrator the following year—and I’ve never looked back! I love sharing beautiful projects and helping others discover their creativity. Thanks for stopping by—I’m so glad you’re here!
