Christmas Fun Fold Cards | One Fold, Two Different Looks

One fun fold, two completely different Christmas cards! Isn’t it amazing how changing the colours, stamps and patterned paper can give the very same card design a whole new personality? If you love seeing how one design can take on different looks, you might also enjoy my Easy Christmas Fun Fold Cards, where I used the same supplies to create two very different Christmas cards!

I love a card design that’s easy to make but looks like you’ve put in a little extra effort. This Christmas fun fold is exactly that! It has a fun layered front and opens twice, giving you plenty of room for stamped greetings, pretty patterned paper and a handwritten message.

For these two cards, I went in completely different directions. One is soft, snowy and elegant, while the other is bright, cheerful and just a little bit adorable!

In the video, I’ll walk you through making both versions of this fun fold, sharing some handy card-making tips along the way. You’ll see how the pieces fit together and just how easy it is to give this design your own creative twist.

Soft & Snowy Christmas Fun Fold

For the first card, I used the Dreamy Snowflakes bundle from Stampin’ Up!, pairing Smoky Slate, Barely Blush and white with a little silver foil. Rather than reaching for traditional Christmas patterned paper, I pulled out some soft gingham from my stash.

The delicate stamped snowflakes, silver foil die cuts and subtle embellishments give this card such a pretty, peaceful feel.

And there’s a little surprise inside! The front opens to reveal another folded panel with room for a special message. I love having those extra spaces to decorate.

Cute & Cheerful Christmas Fun Fold

Now for something completely different!

Using that exact same fold, I switched things up with Real Red, Pool Party and the adorable Christmas Crew bundle from Stampin’ Up! Bold colours, candy canes and the sweetest little festive bear give this version a completely different personality.

A few snowy trees, a shimmery ribbon bow and tiny peppermint embellishments bring this cheerful Christmas card together.

And of course, I couldn’t leave the inside plain! A little stamping and colouring carry the Christmas fun right through the card.

One Fold, So Many Possibilities

This is what I love most about card making. You don’t always need a brand-new idea or a new collection of supplies to create something different.

Take a fold you enjoy, change the colours, pull out some patterned paper you’ve been saving and see where your creativity takes you!

You could use this same design for birthdays, thank-you cards or just about any occasion. The possibilities really are endless.

Here’s another version I created using the very same fold, this time with the Sweetest Star Stampin’ Up! bundle! It’s amazing how changing just a few details can give a card a fun new look.
