Each month I send my Birdsnest Stampers team members a mystery packet to use for our monthly creative card challenge. Today I am sharing with you the card that I created using these supplies. The packet this month included a small piece of Hand Penned DSP, Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum and Cinnamon Cider cardstock. I also included a strip of Pool Party 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain ribbon and Pool Party punch outs from the Flowers & Leaves punch. When I sat down to create my card the Sending Hugs bundle that I just received was sitting on my desk and I decided to give it a whirl. I am so thrilled with the way that this card turned out.
In creating this card I used all of the pieces from the mystery packet and added in a standard Pool Party card base and a strip of Basic White cardstock for the small sentiment.
The large, beautiful die, cut from the Cinnamon Cider cardstock, is included in the Sending Hugs bundle that can be found in my online store here or in your Annual Catalogue on page 19. To stretch the use of the Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum included in the packet I cut the HUGS letters out of the center of it before adhering the DSP over top. This is a great tip for saving paper and once it’s covered up no one even knows 😉.
It is so much fun to see what everyone creates each month and I love how different everybody’s creativity is! Using the same basic supplies we all come up with totally unique designs!
