For The Record – Let’s Emboss!

It’s Friday fun-day and boy oh boy do I have a fun card to share with you today! The theme for our team card swap this month was love and right away I knew I wanted to use the For The Record stamp set! Have you seen this one? Oh it is fabulous! I just love that large record stamp with the heart in the center. I decided to heat emboss the record with black embossing powder to add a little texture and make it glossy like a real record! I also heat embossed the greeting “You’re my favourite song” with white embossing powder on to black cardstock punched out with the Double Oval punch. Embossing is such a great technique to use on cards, scrapbook layouts or any other type of paper crafting.

I was delighted and excited to discover that the 2-15/16″ circle from the Layering Circles dies cuts this record image out perfectly!!

I chose a colour combination that worked with the card swap ‘love’ theme but have a masculine feel to it too! So as hard as it was I actually managed to stay away from pink for this one 😉.
