Hello friends … thank you for popping in on this beautiful day! The Badger Besties card I have created today expresses how I am feeling right now …. HAPPY DAY!! I don’t know about you but I am super excited to have a holiday long weekend! It has been a busy week for me and I am looking forward to an extra day of down time.
Playing with the Badger Besties stamp set this week has been so much fun.
I was looking for a little “something” to stamp on the die cut behind the badgers when I remembered about the Textures & Frames stamp set. This is a super great set too with some awesome background stamping kind of images. Today’s Happy Day card is a little more ‘stepped up’ from the previous cards I have shared with you. Sometimes I get a little crafty-crazy with the layers, elements and of course dimesionals!! This card checks all those boxes and I love it ❤
If you are looking to try a new Stampin’ Up! colour combo I suggest giving this one a try! Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia are a winning combination.
I cut a couple of 2-1/2″ squares in Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and staggered them behind the die cut scalloped rectangle (from the Stitched So Sweetly dies). Once I hade everything stamped, placed and adhered I added a few of the beautiful Loose Flower Flourishes to complete the card.
Design tip … I started this card knowing that I wanted to use the Loose Flower Flourishes on the card. So when I was choosing colours I considered what was available in the flourishes and started from there. Card ideas can come and start from anywhere.
