Welcome Stampin’ Friends I am so glad you have stopped in! Today wraps up the product showcase for the Joyful Life stamp set. This fun and cheerful set has been an absolute pleasure to work with… I can’t wait to get these cards off in the mail!
I created a festive background for this card by “blocking” three pieces of Designer Series Paper from the Painted Christmas collection. I chose three patterns that went well together to make a colourful holiday backdrop.
The three pieces of DSP are cut to 2″ x 4-3/4″ (left-hand side block), 1-1/2 x 3-1/8 (top right-hand side block) and 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (bottom right-hand side block). All three are evenly spaced and adhered to a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Using Designer Series Paper this way is great for showing off a few of the amazing patterns because, let’s face it, sometimes it’s really hard to choose just one!
With such a lovely background there really isn’t need to add much else to this card. Another great perk of using Designer Series Paper!!
I added a bit of Real Red Double Stitched ribbon, Season’s Greetings stamped on a plain white oval and of course the hedgehog. He is stamped with Early Espresso ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. With the addition of a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and a little bling this fun Christmas card is done!

Piecing the dsp together is a great look. The real red ribbon adds a traditional Christmas colour to the adorable card. How cute is the hedgehog??
