Birdsnest Stampers Creative Challenge • Birdsnest Designs

Hello and happy Friday friends!! Today I wanted to pop on to share the card I created for my monthly Birdsnest Stampers creative challenge. Each month I send out a mystery packet of ‘pieces’ to all of my Birdsnest Stampers team members. The idea is that each of us create a card with the pieces and then we share them at our monthly Zoom gathering. It’s a wonderful way to get different ideas and I love seeing how creative everyone is!

Included in this month’s kit was

Mint Macaron cardstock
1″ strip of Blushing Bride cardstock
A 4″ x 6″ piece of Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper
2″ strip of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper – Mint Macaron pattern
Blushing Bride label punched with the Label Me Lovely punch
A strip of ribbon
A square vellum doily

I was able to use everything except for the ribbon and the doily on my card today and am so pleased with the way it turned out.

The non-traditional Christmas colours in the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper are so pretty … of course I love almost anything in Pink!!

I started my mystery card design by fussy-cutting out the 4 ornaments from the piece of DSP. Each piece of paper in this collection has beautiful silver foiling on it, I love this for the holidays … the more sparkle the better!!

The gorgeous Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper can be purchased from my online store until the end of December. A full list of the supplies I used on today’s project can be found at the end of today’s post.

I decided to use Misty Moonlight as my card base and then added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White. Next I layered the remaining paper pieces from the mystery challenge kit, added some Silver Simply Elegant Trim to each ornament popped them on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and wrapped the trim in behind the cardstock before adhering to the card front.

Next it was time to use the Label Me Lovely label. I found the greeting in the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set and stamped it with Misty Moonlight ink. The label was a little too big for where I wanted to place it so I trimmed the top and bottom to make it smaller and change the shape a bit. Then it fit just perfectly. I added some rhinestones and voila … team creative challenge card complete!!
