Textured Floral Sketch Challenge • Birdsnest Designs

Welcome to this week’s Make It Monday tutorial. I have used this week’s sketch challenge to create beautiful card using the Stampin’ Up! Textured Floral bundle. I’ve paired it up with a piece of Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper and some fun Springtime colours. I have created the card twice and used different sizes for the Lost Lagoon cardstock pieces. The one on the right was the first one I created, but … I wasn’t loving the thick borders. In today’s tutorial I made thinner, more elegant borders and I am much happier with the way it turned out. Which way do you prefer?

Fresh Freesia card base: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 OR 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
Lost Lagoon cardstock: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, 3-3/4 x 3 plus scraps for die cutting branches
Basic White cardstock: 4 x 5-1/4, 3-5/8 x 2-7/8, 1-1/2 x 2-1/8 Nested Essentials label, scrap for stamping flower
Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4 x 5
