It’s time for a Festive Friday Challenge! This week’s Festive Friday Design Team’s challenge #FF0173 is A Traditional Christmas! For my challenge card I picked out the Stampin’ Up! Light The Year Bundle …. after all, it doesn’t get much more traditional than those images!

What is the Festive Friday Challenge? Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo (Inspirations) List. The Inspo List is 10 items you can choose from to create your project. Pick three of these items to create your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge A Traditional Christmas is this week’s theme but guess what? Your project doesn’t have to be about this theme at all! I hope you’ll join in on the fun and make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item for this week’s challenge!
Check out this link on how you can play along. If you want help entering, please email me at birdsnestdesigns@gmail.com and I’d be happy to help you!

I found this to be an easy inspiration list to choose from… the dilemma for me was which ones to use! I settled on on candles, red and glimmer which were really easy to incorporate into a project with the Light The Year bundle.
What will you choose from this week’s Inspo List? Create a project and share it with us!

Let’s make this pocket card using the Light The Year bundle
- Cut a 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, score at 2-1/2 and 6-1/2
- Fold on each of the score lines towards the middle of the card
- Adhere a 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White piece to the inside, middle of the card
- Adhere the top and bottom edges of the right side flap to the inside of the card to create a pocket for a gift card
- Cut a 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper and adhere to the flap on the front of the card
- On the 2-3/4 square Basic White stamp pine boughs on each side at the bottom with Old Olive, layer on to a 3 x 3 piece of Festive Glimmer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then to the front flap
- On Basic White cardstock stamp the large lantern with Pretty Peacock ink, candle with Early Espresso and 2 pine cones using Pecan Pie for the back layer and Early Espresso for the 2-step stamping top layer
- Die cut the lantern and the pinecones, colour the inside of the lantern with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends and adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Tie a bow with the Cherry Cobbler ribbon and adhere to the lantern with a Mini Glue Dot
- Stamp greeting with Early Espresso ink on to 1-5/8 Basic White Stylish Shapes die cut circle and add to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
