Do you ever wonder how to get more use out of the Stampin’ Up! supplies you already have? In today’s post, I’ll show you how to take one project design and switch it up using different Stampin’ Up! products—one version with a newer set and another with a retired or older set. This is a great way to make the most of what’s already in your crafting stash!
For today’s project, I started with the Darling Dinos stamp set to create a fun and playful card featuring an adorable dino, a few fun accents, and a sentiment that reads “You’re T-rrrific!” The warm Timeless Plaid DSP background and Champagne Iridescent Dots embellishments give it a cozy feel.
For the second card, I switched it up by using the Hearts & Hugs stamp set, replacing the dino with two cuddly badgers sharing a hug. The layout and colours remain the same, but the sentiment and image create a completely different vibe—perfect for sending heartfelt birthday wishes! This simple swap shows just how easy it is to personalize your cards with the supplies you already have.
Darling Dinos and Hearts & hugs Birthday Card Measurements
Get started with these measurements to prep your materials:
- Misty Moonlight card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
- Pecan Pie cardstock 3-3/4 x 3-3/4
- Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 and 1-1/4 x 4 (for inside)
- Boho Blue cardstock 1-3/4 x 2-1/2
- Crumb Cake cardstock 3/8 x 3
- Basic White cardstock 2-3/8 circle and 4 x 5-1/4
