One Card Two Ways: Sweet Peas and Everyday Details

Do you love a great card design but want to stretch your creativity by using different supplies? In today’s post, I’ll show you how easy it is to take one layout and switch it up by using different Stampin’ Up! products. One version features a newer set, while the other gives a fresh look to an older or retired favorite. This is a fun and simple way to get more out of the supplies you already have in your stash!

The first card I created features the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Peas stamp set, bringing a playful and cheerful fell to the design. The adorable pea pod image is stamped and coloured with Stampin’ Blends, adding a pop of Shy Shamrock green to match the coordinating cardstock and ribbon. The Dashing Designs embossing folder adds a touch of texture in the background, along with a few In Color Shimmer Dot embellishments, makes this card lighthearted and fun. The sentiment, “You make me haPEA,” adds the perfect finishing touch for a card that’s sure to bring a smile!

For the alternate version, I used the Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details stamp set, giving the same layout a completely different feel. Instead of the playful peas, this card features a beautifully detailed bird’s nest with delicate eggs, creating a softer and more nature-inspired design. The calming colour palette, Forever Plaid embossed background, and sweet sentiment work together for a card that feels warm and heartfelt. It’s a perfect example of how you can take a single card sketch and transform it with just a simple stamp swap!

Get started with these measurements to prep your materials:

• Basic White Thick card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
• Basic White cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 (embossed)
• Shy Shamrock cardstock 3 x 4-1/4
• Basic White cardstock 2-3/4 x 4 and scrap for stamped image
