Hello & welcome!! Can you believe we are in the last week of June already? This year is just soaring by!! It’s Monday which means a brand new week with a brand new weekly product feature. For this week I have chosen the crazy cute Hippest Hippos stamp set and coordinating Hippos Dies. Both of these items are Sale-A-Bration items that you can earn for FREE starting July 1st! I couldn’t wait any longer to share these adorable little hippos with you … so let’s get to it!
Are you loving them already?!?! One glance and I knew that I HAD to have them in my collection. I am such a sucker for any cute little animal images … especially ones that I get to colour! To say I had fun creating today’s card would be an understatement, I could colour and create with these Hippest Hippos all day long!
Did you take a good look at those dies? There are 19 dies with all kinds of props and accessories to use to create projects with these cute hippos. On today’s card I haven’t used many of them but just wait for what I have to share later this week! Oh I can’t wait!!
To create that amazing background for today’s card I stamped the Rays of Light background stamp and So Saffron ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I die cut out a white stitched circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies and my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and “bumped it up” with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the circle of the Rays of Light stamp.
Next I stamped the two hippos and coloured them withStampin Blends in Gray Granite, Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red & Old Olive. I then cut them out using the Hippo Dies and adhered them to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Real Red hearts are also cut using the Hippo Dies and adhered to the card. Lastly I stamped the ‘Love you tons’ sentiment and attached it to the card again with Stampin’ Dimensionals … the more dimension the better!!
