Up for a challenge? This week’s creative challenge #36 was a clean & simple scrapbook sketch. I was very happy to play along and create a beautiful scrapbook layout of my little sister and I.

When I was creating I opted to use the star theme from the scrapbook sketch. It was the perfect opportunity for me to use the Stitched Stars dies. I love that there are so many different sizes and styles of stars included with these dies.

Cutting the stars out of the Love You Always foil sheets added a lovely bit of shine to the star embellishments. For contrast I cut a few smaller stitched stars out of Blushing Bride cardstock, I love the combinations of pink on this scrapbook layout.
*New Tool Alert
I was excited to use the brand new Blending Brushes to create the subtle pink highlight in behind the stitched stars. These brushes are amazing to say the least , and SO soft too!! I will be adding these to my list of must have Stampin’ Up! tools for sure.

Notice the pretty lace ribbon poking out from under the title and photo matte? This is a great way to add an extra layer … I do love lots of layers when I create!! The stitching on the edge of the scrapbook sketch caught my eye also so I added some with the help of my trusty ruler and Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker. I am delighted with how it turned out!
My sister, Stacey and I often get asked if we are twins and sometimes even get mistaken for one another. I spun on this for the title of this page. Playful Alphabet dies make creating titles so easy!

I found this creative challenge sketch to be very inspiring! I hope that you do too and would love to see the projects that you create with it!! Remember if you post your sketch designs on social media use #cwbcreativechallenge in the description so I don’t miss them 🙂
