Love You More Than … Cookies!

Happy Wednesday … woohoo we are half way to the weekend!! Today I am so excited to share with you a Love You More Than Cookies scrapbook layout that I designed using this week’s featured products … Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and co-ordinating Love You More Than dies. Both of these products can be found in the 2021 Annual Catalogue on pages 87 and 164. I am just loving both of these products ❤

Scrapbooking is how I discovered paper crafting many years ago (17 if I remember right). I was invited to a friend’s house to “scrapbook” while our boys were at school. I had never tried scrapbooking before but within a few hours I was completely hooked! This is such a great way to preserve precious memories in a personal and creative way. Thank you Christine and Leslie for inviting me all those years ago!

Ok back to today’s layout … these cookie images are so much fun! I plastered them all over the left hand side of my base page and then stamped and die-cut more to sprinkle around and bump-up to add some dimension to the page. The two-step stamping in this stamp set makes is effortless to colour in the cookies too! Simply stamp the outline image (with the chocolate chips) in Early Espresso and then stamp the ‘filled in’ image with Crumb Cake. Perfect cookies every time!! And what’s extra nice is that you don’t have to worry about lining it up precisely … they look cute whether it’s centered or not.

I created the adorable “Love you more than Cookies” page title fand the “cookies” banners using the Love You More Than dies. I simply cut the words out on the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and then layered them on to contrasting cardstock. **A tip to make this even easier is to use adhesive sheets when cutting them out … then you just peel and stick the words instead of fighting with glue on these thin pieces.** For contrast and to make the ‘Cookies’ banners pop out more I layered a piece of Real Red cardstock in behind them and flagged one end with the Banners pick-a-punch. This just adds a nice little touch and ties in the red from the page title too.

Now all that is left to do is print out some great photos of my boys either eating cookies or baking them!! I truly enjoyed creating and designing this layout and hope that it has given you a little creative inspiration for today too!
