Oh how I love this scrapbook blog hop and am excited to be joining in again this month. Numbers was a challenging theme for me. I wasn’t sure where to take it or where to start. After a lot of thought I decided to go with the only thing that popped into my brain when I thought of Number today…. Double Trouble! 2… 2… 2!
We welcomed two sibling puppies, Linus & Lucy, into our home last fall and it has been a fun and crazy 8 months since. Two puppies is a lot of work but we also get twice as many puppy snuggles which makes it all worthwhile. So for today’s layout I have spun the numbers challenge to create this layout.

Having decided on the subjects of the layout it was now time to find Stampin’ Up! product that would compliment the theme. I have used the Days to Remember stamp set and stamped it in the background in Sahara Sand to get all those wonderful numbers. I also heat embossed this same stamp with clear embossing powder in the background to create a little glossy texture. You really can’t see it in the pictures but it adds a nice subtle touch.
Are you loving those adorable little paw prints? Get excited because those are from a stamp set called North Pole Mischief that you’ll find in the upcoming June – December Mini Catalogue. I randomly stamped the paw print in sets of two around the background paper too. Then I used a Black Stampin’ Write Marker to create the splatter effect.

I strayed away from a typical pattern when I cut the hexagons for this layout. The Beautiful Shapes dies have a number of various sized hexagons, so I cut a few of each and staggered them together on my page. The Designer Series Paper I have used is from the awesome He’s The Man collection.
I have also used a few of the laser cut embellishments that are included on the die cut sheets of the He’s The Man DSP. I even added some journaling on one of those die cuts.

I created the entire backdrop for my Days To Remember Double Trouble scrapbook layout using a very neutral colour scheme of Sahara Sand and Basic Black. Then I popped a little colour behind the smaller square images. I used some blue – Night of Navy – behind Linus (black with white puppy) and pink – Melon Mambo – behind Lucy (white with black puppy).
Oh and did I mention that these two are little rascals?!?! Linus always seems to have mischief on his mind … that’s him trying to lick the layout as I was trying to take photos …. oh my they keep us hopping … LOL!
I was able to create this layout using all current Stampin’ Up! products that you can purchase HERE on my online store except for the dies that I used to cut out those wonderful large number 2s. Those have been retired for quite a while now but were perfect for the June Numbers theme.

I had a lot of fun playing and stamping in my craft room to create this number themed layout. And I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Oh Denise – this is awesome!!! I love the days to remember stamp in the background (I will definitely have to do this!) and I love that there are 2 of them. You totally nailed this – the colours, the papers, the pops of colour for the frames, and the foot prints and splatter. I love it!
Denise, those puppies are so stinken cute… Lots of mischief I can well imagine…
Love what you have created with with this theme. Glad that I wasn’t the only one who struggled with it.
Thanks for joining us again this month.
