Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop September 2022 – Celebrate Sunflowers

Hello and welcome … it is so nice to see you!

Thank you for joining us for the Scrapbooking Global September Blog Hop. This month’s challenge was to use a sketch that was chosen by Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member Courtenay Heuston .  I am excited to share my interpretation of this sketch with my Celebrate Sunflowers scrapbook layout.

I LOVE Sunflowers and so when I saw them on the sketch challenge I couldn’t unsee them … you know what I mean?  So I pulled out my Celebrate Sunflowers bundle and got to work designing.

Celebrate Sunflowers Stampin' Up! Scrapbook Layout

I got a little ‘wild and crazy’ with all of the different patterns and Designer Series Papers that I incorporated on to this page.  Typically I start with a solid or more neutral background but today I ventured outside of my comfort zone.  AND I am happy to say that I love how it looks!  The background page is from Texture Chic and the rounded square pattern can be found in the Rustic Harvest collection, I thought they complimented each other nicely.

Stampin' Up! Colour Combination on the layout are Evening Evergreen, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink

The greenery in behind the sunflowers are cut from another sheet of Texture Chic Designer Series Paper using the Forever Flourishing dies.  Amazing seemed like the perfect title for this page and I cut that using gold metallic specialty paper and the Amazing Thanks dies.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop August 2022

Hello and welcome … it is so nice to see you!

Thank you for joining us for the Scrapbooking Global August Blog Hop. This month’s theme is one that I have really enjoyed and was chosen by Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member Sherry Roth.  I am excited to share my Abigail Rose scrapbook layout with you today!

Whether you are starting here or have hopped on over from another blog be prepared for some awesome scrapbooking inspiration today.  Near the bottom of this post you will find the full list of participants in this hop – be sure to check them all out!

Our challenge as part of this month’s blog hop was to choose a line on the Tic Tac Toe board and incorporate all of those elements into a scrapbook layout using Stampin’ Up!® products.  I love polka dots so I decided to use the left most vertical line on the board: Use a sketch, polka dots & kraft cardstock.  Here’s the sketch I chose to use.

Sketch for scrapbook layout theme
Stampin' Up! Abigail Rose DSP scrapbook layout

I have been wanting to use the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper for a while, but until now I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use it.  This paper is so pretty and the floral images are nice and big … perfect for scrapbooking!

Let’s Make It!

  • I started with a base page of Petal Pink 12″ x 12″ cardstock
  • Next I ran a 6″x 6″ and a 4-1/2″ x 6″ piece of Kraft cardstock through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the Spots & Dots dies ( polka dots 😉)
  • I adhered the two pieces side-by-side to the top half of the layout
  • Next a wrapped a piece of Natural Finish 7/8″ ribbon across the layout directly below the kraft cardstock, adhered it in the back and tied a knot at the front on the right hand side
  • I created the Early Espresso photo mat with a piece measuring 6-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ and then attached two pieces of Very Vanilla 3″ x 4-1/2″, and adhered this to the page with dimensionals
  • Then I used the largest hexagon die from the Beautiful Shapes dies and die cut ten from an different sheets of the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper, set and tucked them on the page then adhered them using dimensionals on some for extra depth
  • From the Abigail Rose DSP I fussy cut 3 sets of florals and adhered with dimensionals to the layout
  • To add a little touch of colour to the flowers I used Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia ink with my Water Painters
  • Lastly I scattered a few Rustic Metallic ADhesive-Backed Dots around the layout

Sale-A-Bration promotion is still on until the end of the month.  One of the items that you can get for free with a $120 CDN order is the Dots & Spots die that I used to create the polka dots.  It is such a fun die to use and is regularily priced at $44CDN.  Now’s the perfect time to visit my online store, place an order of $120CDN and get it for FREE!!

Days To Remember: Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop June 2022

Days To Remember: Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop June 2022

Hello, welcome … I am so glad that you are here!

Thank you for joining us for the Scrapbooking Global June Blog Hop. This month’s theme is a calculated one chosen by Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member Julia Quinn. I am excited to share my Days to Remember scrapbook layout with you today!

Whether you are starting here or have hopped on over from another blog be prepared for some awesome inspiration today. Near the bottom of this post you will find the full list of participants in this hop – be sure to check them all out!

Oh how I love this scrapbook blog hop and am excited to be joining in again this month. Numbers was a challenging theme for me.  I wasn’t sure where to take it or where to start.  After a lot of thought I decided to go with the only thing that popped into my brain when I thought of Number today…. Double Trouble! 2… 2… 2!

We welcomed two sibling puppies, Linus & Lucy, into our home last fall and it has been a fun and crazy 8 months since.  Two puppies is a lot of work but we also get twice as many puppy snuggles which makes it all worthwhile.  So for today’s layout I have spun the numbers challenge to create this layout.

Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop June 2022 Double Trouble Page

Having decided on the subjects of the layout it was now time to find Stampin’ Up! product that would compliment the theme.  I have used the Days to Remember stamp set and stamped it in the background in Sahara Sand to get all those wonderful numbers.  I also heat embossed this same stamp with clear embossing powder in the background to create a little glossy texture.  You really can’t see it in the pictures but it adds a nice subtle touch.

Are you loving those adorable little paw prints?  Get excited because those are from a stamp set called North Pole Mischief that you’ll find in the upcoming June – December Mini Catalogue.  I randomly stamped the paw print in sets of two around the background paper too.  Then I used a Black Stampin’ Write Marker to create the splatter effect.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop June 2022 Double Trouble Page

I strayed away from a typical pattern when I cut the hexagons for this layout.  The Beautiful Shapes dies have a number of various sized hexagons, so I cut a few of each and staggered them together on my page.  The Designer Series Paper I have used is from the awesome He’s The Man collection.

I have also used a few of the laser cut embellishments that are included on the die cut sheets of the He’s The Man DSP.   I even added some journaling on one of those die cuts.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop June 2022 Double Trouble Page

I created the entire backdrop for my Days To Remember Double Trouble scrapbook layout using a very neutral colour scheme of Sahara Sand and Basic Black.  Then I popped a little colour behind the smaller square images.  I used some blue – Night of Navy – behind Linus (black with white puppy) and pink – Melon Mambo – behind Lucy (white with black puppy).

Oh and did I mention that these two are little rascals?!?!   Linus always seems to have mischief on his mind … that’s him trying to lick the layout as I was trying to take photos …. oh my they keep us hopping … LOL!

I was able to create this layout using all current Stampin’ Up! products that you can purchase HERE on my online store except for the dies that I used to cut out those wonderful large number 2s.  Those have been retired for quite a while now but were perfect for the June Numbers theme.

Party Puffins Birthday: Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop February 2022

Party Puffins Birthday: Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop February 2022

Hello, welcome … I am so glad that you are here!

Thank you for joining us for the Scrapbooking Global February Blog Hop. This month’s theme is a delightful one chosen by Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member Julia Quinn. I am excited to share my Party Puffins layout with you today!

Whether you are starting here or have hopped on over from another blog be prepared for some awesome inspiration today. Near the bottom of this post you will find the full list of participants in this hop – be sure to check them all out!

Oh how I love this scrapbook blog hop and am excited to be joining in again this month. Happy Birthday is such a fun and practical theme … we all have birthday photos to ‘scrap’!!

When I sat down to start creating this layout I honestly had no idea or direction on what I was going to do. SO … I stood in front of my stamp shelf, looking through them all and pulling out any that were ‘birthday’ theme. And that is how today’s layout got started. How do you decide what to use and where to start when you are scrapping?

Out of the stack of stamp sets I pulled out I decided on Biggest Wish and Party Puffins. Both of these stamp sets are fabulous and combined they made for a really fun layout. I also pulled out some of my Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper, my black Stampin’ Write Marker and the Quiet Meadow stamp set to get those amazing dots or splotches in the background.

To start off I die cut the largest circle from the Layering Circles dies out of the Designer Series Paper and adhered them to the Basic White 12″ x 12″ page. Next I took this same die and and used it to trace the circles with my Stampin’ Write Marker to create the offset line circles. I then stamped the splotches from the Quiet Meadow stamp around the circles in the matching colours. Background created!!

Using both of the ‘happy’ stamps and the bold ‘birthday’ stamp from the Biggest Wish set I heat embossed them on to Basic Black cardstock, flagged the ends and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I added the piece of Mint Macaron cardstock on the left -hand side of the page and added the photo frames matted with Basic Black.

I stamped, fussy cut and coloured the images from the Party Puffin stamp set and scattered them about the page adhering them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To add the final touch I added a few Playing With Patterns Resin Dots (oh how I love these little gems❤) along the black line circles.

I had a lot of fun playing and stamping in my craft room to create this birthday themed layout. Now to find some fabulous pictures to add … I am thinking that some beautiful black and white shots would be lovely!

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop January 2022: Rainbow of Happiness

Hello, welcome … I am so glad that you are here!

Thank you for joining us for the Scrapbooking Global January Blog Hop. This month’s theme is a great one chosen by Scrapbooking Global Design Team Member Sherry Roth. My layout for this hop features the Stampin’ Up!® Rainbow of Happiness stamp set and the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper.

Whether you are starting here or have hopped on over from another blog be prepared for some awesome inspiration today. Near the bottom of this post you will find the full list of participants in this hop – be sure to check them all out! If you like what you see please leave us a comment … we love to hear from you!

I am excited to be participating in this blog hop this month. The Decorative Borders theme is such a fun one that can be interpreted in so many fun ways.

I love the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper and knew that I wanted to use it on this layout. When I grabbed this paper from my “stash” I noticed that I had a lot of 2″ strips left over from a class prep I had done. That’s when the inspiration for this layout hit!

So this may not seem like the usual decorative border that one might imagine, but it was what came to mind with all these lovely left-over strips of paper! I created a border of DSP strips along the left-hand side of my layout and another border of these DSP strips behind one of the photo mats too. Then I pulled out the Basic Borders dies and created that fabulous Granny Apple Green border!

You may have heard me mention a time or two since it’s release, that I love the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper … ❤❤. It’s happiness overload!! This is one of the Sale-A-Bration items that you can choose for FREE when you place a $60CAD order between now and February 28th, 2022. It is full of bright and cheerful colours as well as fun patterns and images… if you ask me this is a MUST have!!

Aside from the DSP, I used a medley of current Stampin’ Up! products that can be purchased from my online store. You can see the complete list of these products by scrolling to the end of today’s post.

I had a lot of fun playing with the Decorative Border theme and designing this project. Now to find the perfect photos to add and perhaps create a second page to go along!!

Sweet Stockings: Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop November 2021

Sweet Stockings: Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop November 2021

Hello, welcome … I am so glad that you are here!

Thank you for joining us for the Scrapbooking Global November Blog Hop. This month’s theme is Scrap Lift to use another scrapbook layout for inspiration.

Whether you are starting here or have hopped on over from another blog be prepared for some awesome inspiration today. Near the bottom of this post you will find the full list of participants in this hop – be sure to check them all out and leave a comment… we love to hear from you!

I had so much fun participating in the Scrapbooking Global blog hop last month and am excited to be joining in again. The Scrap Lift theme is a great one, so I headed over to my Scrapbook Sketch Pinterest board to get inspired!

This fabulous sketch caught my eye and right away I knew that I wanted to use the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Stocking Designer Series Paper. I am so happy with the way my layout came together ❤.

I had a lot of fun mixing and matching the festive patterns from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper for this design. The patterns, images and colours are fabulous, be sure to take another look at this paper collection before it retires at the end of December, you just may want to add it to your paper stash!!

I fussy-cut the adorable puppy images from the DSP to create super cute embellishments for my layout.

In addition to the Sweet Stockings DSP I also incorporated a few die cut snowflakes cut with the Stitched Snowflakes Dies, Matte Decorative Dots and Pool Party 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. All of these Stampin’ Up! products are current and can be purchased on my online store.

I really liked the circle use on the sketch I chose but plain white cardstock circles looked “plain” so I dressed them up a wee bit. Using the next size down in the Layering Circles dies I traced around it to create the black doodle lines .. this little touch was all they needed!

Scroll to the end of today’s post to see a complete list of all of the products used to create my Sweet Stocking Layout. Clicking on any of the items in that list will take you to my online store!

With Christmas just around the corner and two new puppies added to our family I am super excited to take the perfect pictures to make this layout complete.

Thank you again for hopping over to my blog today, be sure to click on the image below to hop on over to the lovely Julia Quinns page to see what she has to share with you!
