My project for today’s hop is a tea-rrific card I created with the Cup of Tea bundle coordinating Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper. Today’s card is filled with a little extra love and would be perfect for a tea-loving friend. All of the products in the Tea Boutique suite are so pretty, filled with beautiful tea themed imagery and gorgeous colours. The sentiment that I used on today’s card is Take Care of Yourself and so I felt it would be fitting if there was a place to hold a tea bag inside the card.
I started with a Basic White Thick cardstock card base and then added to patterned pieces from the Tea Bouitique DSP to cover the front of the card. I cut a banner with the Stylish Shapes dies, stamped the sentiment on to it and adhered it across where the two patterned pieces met. Using the Layering Circle and Stylish Shapes dies I created the scalloped circle behind the tea cup. I stamped the images from the Cup of Tea stamp set in a fun assortment of colours: Sweet Sorbet, Shaded Spruce, Parakeet Party and Petal Pink, die cut them with the Teacup dies and arranged on to the circle with stampin’ dimensionals. I added a piece of white Baker’s Twine to the little tag and stamped the ‘it’s time for tea’ sentiment on it. For the finishing I touch I added a pearl to the center of each of the flowers.
For the inside of the card I cut another piece of Designer Series Paper and adhered it to create a pocket that would hold a single tea bag.
