Hello and welcome! Today I have a great Christmas card to share with you that I made using the Stampin’ Up! Joy of Noel bundle. I would definitely say that of all the ‘traditional’ Christmas sets in the September – December Mini Catalogue this one is my favourite! When it comes to traditional red and green for Christmas my go to combination is Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. I just love how rich they are together. For today’s card I added in a little Old Olive in the colouring to brighten it up a tad and some Pecan Pie Designer Series Paper to add a nice neutral background piece. Do you have a favourite red and green combination?
Let’s Make this Joy of Noel card
- Start with a Shaded Spruce card base cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored and folded at 4-1/4
- Dry emboss a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock with the star pattern from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders collection, and adhere to the card front
- Layer a 3 x 3-1/2 piece of Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper to a 3-1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and attach to the center of the card front
- On Basic White cardstock stamp the holly and leaf image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, colour with Stampin’ Blends and die cut with coordinating die
- Adhere to the Designer Series Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- On the 3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock stamp the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat emboss using white embossing powder
- Adhere the sentiment to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Add three gold sequins to the card for a little bling!
