Kicking Off Sale-A-Bration with Friendly Seagulls • Birdsnest Designs

I’m so excited to be teaming up with my friend Michelle Litwiller of Owl Star Stampers for a whole week of creative fun featuring amazing Sale-A-Bration products! I’m kicking it all off with the adorable Friendly Seagulls stamp set.

The Friendly Seagulls stamp set is available for free with a $75 order here in Canada during Sale-A-Bration. Sale-A-Bration is the biggest promotion of the year and runs from January 7th through February 28th.

Today’s Friendly Seagull card features a nautical-inspired colour palette that’s both fun and eye-catching. The vibrant Poppy Parade adds a bold pop of colour, while Misty Moonlight and Gray Granite provide a soft, neutral backdrop that keeps the design fresh and lively.

For colouring the seagulls on this card, I decided to use Stampin’ Write markers. While I usually gravitate toward Stampin’ Blends for most colouring projects, these adorable little seagulls work beautifully with either option. To keep their look light and cheerful, I chose to outline their wings with the Gray Granite Stampin’ Write marker, adding just a touch of soft gray without making them too dark.

To enhance the sandy texture, I used a Sponge Dauber to softly blend extra colour over the stamped images. For an added pop of contrast, the sentiment on the Poppy Parade banner is heat-embossed in white, making the lettering stand out beautifully. I’m so happy with how adorable this project turned out and hope you love it just as much!
