Let's Make A Gatefold Card with the Simply Fabulous Stamps • Denise Cox

Whoo Hoo it’s Friday!! Welcome to my blog, I am so happy to see you! Today I am wrapping up my week of showcasing and creating with the Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous stamp set. I have really enjoyed this great set with pretty flowers and lovely sentiments. There are so many options and possibilities.

For my Friday card I have chosen to use the same colour combo as Wednesday’s card with one addition… Calypso Coral. It’s really amazing how different projects can look even though the colours and stamp set are the same. The four Stampin’ Up! colours on today’s project are Calypso Coral, Starry Sky, Fresh Freesia & Parakeet Party.

How to create this Stampin’ Up! Simply Fabulous Gatefold Card

Measurements are included in the steps below and you can find the complete product list at the bottom of today’s post

Start with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Starry Sky card base scored at 2-1/8″ on both ends, fold on the scorelines so that the flaps meet in the middle
Adhere a piece of Butterfly Kisses DSP to each flap that measures 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″
On a piece of 3″ x 4-1/4″ Basic White, stamp the sentiment, stems and flowers on the left side, large blue flowers and the leaves in the center using Starry Sky, Parakeet Party, Fresh Freesia & Calypso Coral ink pads
On a seperate piece of Basic White stamp the two large Fresh Freesia flowers and the two large Calypso Coral flowers. To get the two-tone on the Calypso Coral ones use second-generation stamping … stamp off on scrap paper and then on to your card to get the lighter image
Fussy cut these four stamped flowers and adhere to the previously stamped Basic White piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals
Layer this entire piece on to a panel of Parakeet Party cardstock measuring 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and then attach the left side of this piece to the left panel of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals
To complete the front of the card I have added a little “bling” by placing two Fresh Freesia Opal Rounds in the center of the same colour flowers
Don’t forget to dress up the inside of your card too! I have chosen to add a layer of Parakeet Party cardstock and recreate some of the stamped images from the card front. I LOVE showing the inside of the card a little love, it really makes the card feel extra special!
